SHELTER
Shelter are designed to protect electronic equipment and operators from external environmental effects. All shelters are produced in compliance with ACE Standard Specification 6516/SHCPR/86 and provide sufficient interior space for the installation of electronic systems, testing, and maintenance activities.
The shelter structure is made of six “sandwich panels” consisting of four side walls, a ceiling, and a floor. Panels are reinforced with aluminum alloy surfaces, non-combustible rigid polyurethane, and internal support elements for maximum durability.
Operating Conditions: MILSHEL shelters are suitable for use between -40°C and +55°C. The heat transfer coefficient does not exceed 1.7 W/°C – m² – h. They withstand 100% humidity and salt spray for two weeks without deterioration. Shelters resist rainfall of 50 mm/hour with 35 km/h wind speed and can be submerged in 50 cm of water without leakage or damage.
Storage Conditions: Shelters can be stored at -40°C to +70°C for up to two years without any damage. Humidity levels between 10% and 100% are acceptable.
Floor: The floor is covered with thick, non-slip, airtight, and electrically insulated plastic material. It includes a drainage hole with a special screw cap providing both environmental and RFI insulation.
Door: The door has the same structure as the walls and can always be opened from inside via an emergency mechanism, even if locked externally. It ensures rain and RFI sealing. The door can be fixed at 90º or other positions and easily closed with a locking device. A handle is attached to assist entry when mounted on vehicles.
Roof: The shelter roof is accessible by foldable steps and can withstand a distributed load of 500 kg/m². The non-slip surface allows a person of 90 kg to walk safely without damage.
Transportation: MILSHEL shelters can be transported by helicopter, train, road vehicles, NATO-standard trucks, and C-130 aircraft. ISO corner fittings provide secure strength for loaded equipment.
RFI Protection: The shelter ensures electromagnetic interference protection with the following values:
-
Electric Field Attenuation: 60 dB from 150 kHz to 10 MHz
-
Magnetic Field Attenuation: 60 dB from 150 kHz to 50 MHz
-
Plane Wave Attenuation: 60 dB from 100 MHz to 10 GHz
MILSHEL’s product range includes ACE-I, ACE-II, ACE-III, NATO-I, NATO-II, NATO-III, ISO-20, ISO-40, Single Expandable, Double Expandable, and Custom Design shelters. All models guarantee durability under harsh conditions, long service life, compliance with NATO and MIL-STD standards, and reliable solutions for the defense industry.
